Pittsburgh was the first stop on a national campaign called "Manufacture America," being rolled out to encourage a revitalization of manufacturing in America and emphasize its importance in the nation's ability to compete in the global marketplace.
Hosted by the U.S. Commerce Department, manufacturers throughout the Pittsburgh region attended the day-long event at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry to share ideas with leaders in government and private industry on ways to explore new products, markets and sources of finance.
