ACT 48 Electives

Gannon Act 48 courses are based on the teacher friendly model and are taught by active education professional who know what today’s educators need to enhance their classroom skills and pedagogy.  Realizing the often busy schedules of educators, Gannon’s Act 48 courses are offered face-to-face, blended and on-line.  Gannon offers the courses on a discounted rate.  These courses are also considered qualified electives for the M.Ed.

Gannon prepares Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction supervisor candidates to as district wide specialists who work across the total grade organization

Reading Specialist Certification

Gannon prepares Reading Specialist who are trained in instruction and assessment techniques and given leadership opportunities to promote literacy programs K-12 for students, parents, other educators and the community.

Ph.D. in Organizational Learning and Leadership

The Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Learning and Leadership utilizes an interdisciplinary model that incorporates theory and research devoted to social organizations and the dynamics of leadership. The program prepares practitioners to recognize issues, structures, and processes in social organizations, examine and assess leadership and interpersonal dynamics, conduct qualitative and quantitative research, and identify innovative responses to issues and opportunities in a wide range of organizational settings.

M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction

Gannon’s M.Ed. Cohort program leads to a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.  The program sets expectations for graduate students to be grounded in theory but also to have the ability to relate theory to classroom instructional applications.  Gannon’s M.Ed. Cohort faculty is comprised of University professors, superintendents, principals, school psychologists, curriculum supervisors and technology directors.  The faculty provides a pragmatic link between theoretical applications and present day instructional practices.
