
Carlow University, the first Catholic, women-centered, liberal arts university in Pennsylvania, prepares
students, primarily women, for competent leadership and compassionate service in their personal and
professional lives.
With an enrollment currently under 2,200, and a student-faculty ratio of 12-1, students enjoy small classes
and individual instruction. The student population is culturally diverse consisting of more than 20 percent
African American students, traditional and nontraditional students, and more than half of the study body is
first generation.
