What types of Events can be held at the RLA?
The Regional Learning Alliance hosts conferences, training programs, seminars, leadership retreats, board meetings, association meetings, workshops, and special events for organizations of all sizes. We can host social events when they are connected to learning programs or nonprofit organizations. We do not host individual social events such as birthday parties, showers, or weddings.
Where is the RLA located?
We are purposely built in the most ideal location in western Pennsylvania, conveniently located on the Allegheny and Butler County line and can be accessed from either 850 Cranberry Woods Drive in Cranberry Township or 1170 Freeport Road in Mars, Pennsylvania. With two entrances, we are just 1-2 minute drive from both Interstate 79 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike yet situated on 20 quiet wooded acres.
Is parking available?
Yes. Complimentary on-site parking is available for all attendees, with more than 400 spaces surrounding the east and north sides of our building, you park and have only a few steps into the building.
How many people can the RLA accommodate?
The RLA offers 20 meeting rooms and event spaces that can accommodate groups ranging from just a few people to conferences with several hundred attendees.
Is Wi-Fi included?
Yes. Free high-speed fiber wireless internet access is available throughout the facility.
Do you provide audio visual equipment?
Yes. Meeting rooms are equipped with the most impressive modern integrated technology such as laser projection systems, and our staff provides on-site support to ensure presentations run smoothly. Virtually all technology is included in our package and space rental rates, helping make budgeting simple and predictable.
Can we bring in our own catering?
The RLA offers in-house catering through our Sustainable Farm-to-Table Dining program. Our chefs and pastry chef create fresh, from-scratch breaks and meals, so outside catering is not permitted. We allow groups to customize and request menu and there are no extra charges for making any menu changes or customizations. We handle most dietary requirements as well – vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.
Do you include the room setup?
Absolutely. Our team customizes room layouts and configurations to meet the needs of each event. Setups are included at no additional charge and are tailored to your specifications.
Are you open on the weekends?
Yes. We are available to host events on Saturdays and Sundays. A minimum total event spend of $5,000 per day is required for Saturday and Sunday events.
Do you have staff available during events?
Yes. Our experienced team provides personalized service and support before and throughout your event. In fact, all of our administrative staff members have been with the RLA for eight years or longer, ensuring continuity, consistency, and a team that understands your organization's needs from one event to the next.
Are there hotels nearby for overnight guests?
Yes. Numerous hotels are located within minutes of the RLA. We also have a special arrangement with a nearby full-service hotel that provides complimentary shuttle service, making the trip between the hotel and the RLA just two minutes door-to-door.
Is the RLA open to the general public?
No. Unlike a hotel or other public event venue, the Regional Learning Alliance is a private conference, learning, and training center and is not open to the general public. Access is limited to individuals attending scheduled meetings, conferences, training programs, events, or conducting business within the building. As a result, our clients and their attendees are not sharing the facility with hotel guests, restaurant patrons, or unrelated public activities, creating a quieter, more secure, and professional environment.
Can the RLA host confidential meetings and executive retreats?
Absolutely. Many organizations choose the RLA for board meetings, strategic planning sessions, leadership retreats, and other programs where confidentiality and focus are important.
